Juliette Ingersoll married William Thomas McGlothin.
Juliette Ingersoll McGlothin
Juliette, born in Ohio, was the daughter of Lucinda James Ingersoll and Owen
Ingersoll, Sr. Juliette came to the Cosumnes River Valley and settled near the
Sheldon Ranch in the 1850's.
Juliette is buried in Sloughhouse Pioneer Cemetery in Sloughhouse, California near her mother and her children. Juliette's husband, William McGlothin is buried in a family plot in a cemetery in Wheatland, California. William's father, Juliette's father-in-law, is also buried in the Pioneer Cemetery in the McGlothin plot.
Juliette's & William's children:
- Clara. born July 26, 1860 and died
February 2, 1926 at the age of 65 years.
- Arthur H. died October 18, 1863 at the age of 2 years & 3 mos. 6 days.
- Sofronia Isabella. born April 25, 1879
- Owen T. died October 3, 1880 at the age of 4 years & 18 days.
- Infant son. died November 27, 1882.
Clara J. McGlothin
Clara J. McGlothin married John W. Wells. John Wells served in the Civil War with
the Illinois Infantry and died at the age of 94 in 1930. He is buried in Sloughhouse
Pioneer Cemetery. Clara and John had 2 sons, John E. and Ernest W. Ernest was
a local sheepherder in the local community of Sloughhouse.
Sofronia Isabella McGlothin
Sofronia married William Bagwell in 1895. A daughter, Emma, died in 1899 at the age of 11 months.
