The society maintains a research policy of assisting with mail requests for those who cannot visit our library. Our volunteers will search Solano County reference materials at the SCGS Library for your Solano County Ancestor.

Research Policy

$5.00 minimum with Self Addressed Stamped Legal Envelope
Plus additional postage if required

Each research request must be accompanied by a self-addressed, stamped envelope and a check or Money Order for $5 (non-refundable Initial Fee), payable to Solano County Genealogical Society, Inc. before research is begun. After receiving your inquiry, you will be advised of how much information was found, cost of copies, and estimated postage and handling. Copies will not be sent until payment is received. Mail your research request using the research request form or the research request pdf with a legal size(#10) self-addressed, stamped envelope to the address below

For best search results, provide our volunteers with as much information as you can about your ancestor, his/her spouse (or spouses) and children. To avoid sending and charging for copies of records you might already have, please inform us of any prior research done in Solano County (census, marriage, church records, cemetery, etc.) Allow at least 4 weeks for your report.
