1 NOTE    George Washington:  Was actually born 11 February 1731. An act of
2 CONC British Parliament in 1750 discarded the Julian calendar, and adopted
2 CONC the Gregorian calendar.  Washington's first 19 birthdays were
2 CONC celebrated on February 11. BUT...his 20th birthday was on February 11,
2 CONC 1752 (not 1751.)   Then - since the vernal equinox had been displaced
2 CONC by 11 days, those 11
2 CONT days were added to 1753, and so Washington's birthday then became 22
2 CONC February instead of February 11.
