In March 1919, the chapter decided to
erect a tribute to the boys of San Fernando who served in the war.
On Monday June 14, 1920, the chapter
dedicated the memorial in front of the
local high school.
The granite stone originally cost $261.00.
It was later moved to San Fernando
Recreation Park with fitting ceremony.
The stone moved for the third time to it's
present location at Robert G Morton VFW
