   San Fernando Valley Genealogical Society

Organized in 1981, the Society exists to encourage genealogical research and interest in family history; help others gather genealogical information; and preserve historical and genealogical material.

Luana Gilstrap will present  "U.S. Probate Records"

Regular meetings are held the third Friday of the month, 7:30-9:30 P.M.  Meetings are held in the Hal Bernson Meeting Room located at the Chatsworth Train Station, 10038 Old Depot Plaza Rd. Chatsworth CA. The main feature of each meeting is a guest speaker presenting a program of genealogical or historical interest. Society business is conducted as needed, including announcements of activities of related societies. Refreshments are provided. Meetings are free to the public.

S.F.V.G.S. Bulletin:
Our newsletter is published monthly except for the months of August and December. The Bulletin includes announcements of speakers and other items of interest to the membership, including family queries.  

Open to anyone interested in genealogy. Dues include a subscription to the S.F.V.G.S. Bulletin.  Annual  membership renewed each March.
Individual: $25
Family: $30
Senior Citizen (age 65 and over): $20

$10 ($1 per issue) additional fee for postage and handling if receiving bulletins by US Mail
