The notary Benjamin Mayor (FHL microfilm #0921054) recorded a settlement on 08 jan 1714 involving Egrège Jean Pierre son of Christophle Convers, Jean Pierre son of the late Jean Louis Convers, for others not named, to Michel Salomon Monod of Berolle, regarding land that their ancestor Geroge Convers purchased from Gabriel Vauchy 05 mar 1627 (notary Demont).

Apparently, this Isaac Convers married twice, first to Jaqueline daughter of Elie Monod, and second to Anne Barbille Delessert (or a similar surname—the spelling is still in doubt). It is not certain which children belong to which wife, and in any case, most of the baptisms would have occurred in the interval where none were recorded at Bière, 1652-1670.

Possibly he is sometimes noted as Jaques Convers in the registers at Ballens. For example, there is a marriage at Aubonne 06 jan 1633, Isaac son of the late Jacob Convers to Jeanne son of the late Jean Cristin of Bognieu (Bougneux), but the presumed baptism of Isaac calls his father Jaques. However, there is also a baptism 23 jun 1583 for Jean son of Jacob Convers, and another for Jean François son of Jaques Convers less than six months later, 01 jan 1584, from which we infer that at least one Jacob and at least one Jaques were heads of families at that time.
The "authentic" Jacob Convers is revealed by the terrier of 1622 (ACV FH 175) to be the son of Pierre, son of Jean. By 1622, Jacob had sons Pierre and David.
His marriage, also giving the name of his father as Pierre, was recorded 26 nov 1581 by Claude Mayor, notary at Ballens (ACV DB 26/3 fol. 71, also in the corresponding minutaire DB 26/5 fol. 29). The corresponding church record appears to be the one at the top of page 83 of the first surviving register for the parish of Bière, for which the date, the name of the groom, and the given name of the bride are illegible. The parts of the record that are still legible say that the groom was the son of Pierre, and that the bride was a daughter of the late Légier Bichet of Bière. The dates of the marriages that precede and follow this record are 25 mar 1581 and 28 dec 1581. There may originally have been another folio preceding the one numbers as pages 83-84, because the marriages on page 83 are numbered sequentially beginning with 8. The missing marriages would fill the gap between March and December of 1581. If the numbering began at 1 on the page that originally preceded 83, it was not at the beginning of a year, so it may be that there was a change of pastor at that time, and he began numbering the marriages sequentially, as the next minister did when he arrived in the middle of 1584 (Louis Cailletain). The identity of the pastor who arrived in 1581 is found in the part of the same register used for baptisms (page 34)—he was Benoict Chatelard, and his first baptism, numbered 1, was recorded 24 sep 1581 at Bière.

She made a "reconnaissance" 24 dec 1622 (ACV Fh 175 fol. 171) as the widow of the late Discret Isaac Monod of Ballens, in which the names of both of her parents are given. She made another reconnaissance the same day (ACV Fh 175 fol. 165) on behalf of her children by her late husband: Louis, Isaac, and Jeanne. A terrier compiled in 1678 (Fg 159) shows much of the property that she had recognized in 1622 now in the hands of Eg. Jean Mayor, Lieutenant de Mollens, and at some point a few years later than 1678, in the hands of his son Gaspard Mayor, or else his other son Pierre Mayor, operateur. This strongly suggests that the Jeanne Monod who married Eg. Jean Mayor was the daughter of Isaac Monod and Jaquemaz Convers, rather than the daughter of Gabriel Monod and Isabeau Jantelin, as we had concluded from very indirect evidence in other records.

Mentioned in the marriage contract of his sister Jaquemaz in 1573, but nothing else is known of him. He did not make a "reconnaissance" with his brothers Claude, Pierre, and Jaques in the terrier ACV Fh 31, dating from about 1580, so he may have died before that date.
