A curious document recorded 19 mar 1588 by the notary Claude Mayor of Ballens (ACV DB 26/6 fol. 98v) concerns the rumor that Vidalle and her husband had eaten a cow belonging to Gabriel Dumartheray:

Arrest pour Egrege François Forestey & Noble Vidale saz femme faict avecq Gabriel Dumartherey. L'an predit & le disneufviesme dudit moys comme il soyt que Gabriel Dumartherey comme seroyt venus à notice audit Egrege Forestey est propheré avoyr dict que ledict Forestey & ladicte Vidalle saz femme luy avoyent mangé une vasche ce que par ledit Dumartherey a esté nyé, suivant laquelle negative en sort en la presence de moy soubz signé & des tesmoings soubz nommés accordes comme se soyt, assavoyr que ledit Dumartherey tient lesdits Jugaulx pour gens de bien & honneur déclayrant ne scavoir en eulx que actes de gens de bien pour tel les tient l'honneur, neantmoingtz d'ungchescung saufz estre que concernant certaynes sentences par ledit Dumartherey contre ladicte Vidalle obtenues pour certayne vasche & pretention d'icelle, ledict Dumartherey promet de non jamais les quereller, ains par icestes est declayrée nulle, de mesmes aussi lesdits conjoinctz occassion de la commande qu'ilz ont contre Iceluy de ladicte vasche en quittent ledict Dumartherey par icestes, et par ce moyen bien a poinctes, et one pris les presentes invyolables a jamais observer, renonciations a touts choses a ce contrariantes, me commandent les en lever a ungchescung ung doble, fayct & passé [à] Aulbonne, presentz François Taberlet y residant & Nicolas Moschon d'Estuey tesmoingtz.

Vidalle's parentage is partly explained in a document recorded 06 aug 1587 by the same notary (ACV DB 26/6 fol.70v). At that time, she sold her paternal rights of inheritance through her father the late Noble Louis Levryer of Crassier, including those for inheritance from her late grandmother Noble Perryne Darerex, to her cousin Noble François Vallessin of Chigniez (?), for 2000 florins.
