Listed as a brother of Jean Isaac Mayor at baptism of Jeanne Marie Mayor, apparently first child of Jean Samuel Mayor and his wife Susanne Mayor. As we have been unable to identify another Jean Isaac Mayor, this would appear to indicate that not all the baptisms for Pierre and Jeanne Urbaine's children have been located. Some may date from before 1670 in Biere, where there is a gap in the records between 1652 and 1670.
The first known citation is 29 mar 1702, when, along with his father, he witnesses a sale of property by Jean Baptiste Mayor of Ballens, justicier at Mollens, to Ferreol Convers of Ballens (Jean Pierre Monod, notary). The same notary recorded the marriage contract of Benedict, son of Pierre Mayor, operateur, 27 nov 1710. In the minutaire, the original signatures for this contract are visible, including "P. Mayor Opre." and "Estienne Benedicht Mayor". This notary also recorded the testament of Estienne Benedicht Mayor, 30 nov 1726, naming his wife, daughter, and brother.

Estienne Gabriel was also brother-in-law to Jean François Baudin (wife Jeanne Marie Mayor), but that relationship may be through Anne Mayor, his wife. Note that Marthe Cloux, known to be the wife of Gedeon Mayor, is the grandmother of Jean François Baudin's children.

Also, a daughter Jeanne Marie Mayor is named who married Jean François Baudin, who died before 1701. This appears to be an error, as all of these are in fact descended from Gédéon, not Gabriel Mayor, unless perhaps Gabriel's wife is connected to Gédéon's family.

Records of Daniel Marmet, notary, show that Jeanne Susanne Mayor, daughter of the late Gaspard Mayor and his widow Jeanne Imberte Favre, engaged in many transactions relating to Gaspard's estate. There is also a marriage contract in which Jeanne Susanne is advised by her mother and by her uncle, Pierre Mayor, operateur of Ballens, and marries Jean François Dumond of Grancy. This proves that Gaspard was the brother of Pierre, thus proving the parentage of the latter.
