Internet source says "near Terre Haute, IN", but we assume he died on his farm in adjacent Clark Co., IL, where he was enumerated in the census of 1860.

marriage record gives name as Mary Ann D. Smith; however, Reuben Smith estate papers refer simply to Thomas McCoy and Mary. Marriage book 3, p. 130, and marriage license book 3, dated 22nov1825.
