Surname apparently given as "Perrin des Thelles" or simply "de Thelles" in the marriage contract, but in later records phrased somewhat differently: "Marguerite nourrie dudit Noble Petterman Gachet relaissée de feu Jehan Perrin de Thielle accompagnée de Thomaz Claude dudit Thielle son voysin" (Jean Marcuard, notary at Payerne, ACV DP 62/1, 25 jun 1571). Some years later, the same Thomas Claude calls Petterman Gachet his father-in-law.

There is some question whether "Perrod" should be considered the same surname as "Berod", the surname of her brother-in-law Claude Berod who married Anteine Dutoit. It is also not certain that Anteine was in fact the mother of all of the children of Louis Dutoit. Antoine, for example, seems to make an appearance in Vevey about 1585 as an adult, though if Anteine were his mother, he would only be about 20 at that time.
