Alexander Cheine was made a burgess of Aberdeen, 22 September 1607. (Council Register XLIII.).1

The entry for the said action reads as follows: "June 27 (1642). Loosings of Arrestments. Alexr. Smithe of Blairdaff v. Alexr. Cheyne of Petfichie and his tenants. Cautioner Walter Cheyn in Tilliebin. Peats in the Moss of Rannalloche".3
