Sarah was baptized in accordance with the procedures of the Church of Scotland, 18 August 1795, at Balnagoak, in Methlick Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. The following is a transcription from the Register of Baptisms, Parish of Methlick, 1746-1820, (Out of order) Frame 124 "August 18th (1795) William Cheyne in Balnagoak had a Child Baptized, & named '(Sarah)' in presence of the Congregation".1 She was the daughter of William Cheyne and Sarah Simpson.
Sarah Cheynes (1244) and (18053) may have been the same person.
