| CREUTZ Feb. 1998 |
My
grandfather, Adolph August Creutz, came to America from
Germany in about 1880 and my grandmother from Denmark at
about the same time. They met and married in Denver. (I
do have a copy of their marriage certificate). Three of
my aunts were born in Denver and then the family decided
to homestead on 360 acres east of Denver near Watkins. I
am told it was on the edge of what is now D.I.A. My
father (born on the homestead in 1897) told me that it
was near Box Elder Creek about seven miles north of
Watkins. Nothing is left of the homesight now. In 1945
there was still an old windmill, but it has been torn
down since that time. I do know that an article was
published about my aunts in the Denver Post on June 2,
1907. I would like to find out the circumstances surrounding the murder of my grandfather, Adolph August Creutz. He died April 3, 1903 and is buried in the cemetery at Brighton, Colorado. His death certificate indicates that he died of gunshot wounds. It also indicates that it was murder. Contact: Julie Newman |

| DURICK October 1999 |
Am
researching Angela Durick. I found information on the SSI
Death Index listing her birth as 30 July 1889. It lists
her death date as Aug 1971. It lists her last residence
as Denver, Adams County, Colorado.I would like to get a
copy of her obituary. I am trying to determine if this
Angela Durick is the step daughter of my great uncle
Peter Motzko. He married Nellie Durick, who had a
daughter Angela.Angela lived in Butte, Montana until the
middle 1920's. She was listed in the city directories in
Butte as a nurse. She lived with her mother who was a
widow, as my great uncle died in 1922. I believe that
when Angela moved that her mother went with her. No one
in the family ever heard from them after my uncle died.
Is there anyone that could look up the obituary for me?
Thank you. Contact: Linda, |
