Adolphe Israelske

Adolphe Israelske, retired Denver businessman, died Sunday night in his home at 549 Ogden st. after an illness of two weeks. He was 88.

Before his retirement 20 years ago, Mr. Israelske owned and operated the Tremont Delicatessen at 15th st. and Tremont pl.

He and his wife, Minnie Israelske, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary last June.

A native of Germany, Mr. Israelske came to this country in 1881, and to Denver from New York City in 1899. He was in the insurance business here before acquiring the Tremont Delicatessen.

Surviving besides his widow are four daughters, Mrs. Simon Quiat, Mrs. Samuel Judd and Mrs. Harold Lutz of Denver, and Mrs. Nathan Schwartz of Detroit; three sons, Sidney of Denver, Fred of Houston, Texas, and Charles of Oakland, Calif.; a brother, Michael Israelske of Los Angeles; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today in the Feldman Mortuary. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery, adjoining Fairmount.

Pallbearers will be Lawrence Miller, Robert Judd, Harry Rosenbaum, Ralph Rosenberg and Aaron Lutz.

Mrs. Minnie Israelske

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Israelske were held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Feldman Mortuary. Burial was in Fairmount.

Mrs. Israelske died Wednesday at home after a short illness. She was 83.

Born Oct. 18, 1870, in Austria-Hungary, Mrs. Israelske came to New York City in 1884. She married Adolph Israelske there in 1888 and came to Denver in 1899.

A member of the National Council of Jewish Women and the Sisterhood of Temple Emanuel, Mrs. Israelske lived at 312 Eudora St.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Simon Quiat, and Mrs. Sam Judd, both of Denver; Mrs. Nathan Schwartz of Detroit, and Mrs. Harold Lutz of Denver; three sons, Sidney of Denver, Fred of Houston and Charles Israelske of Oakland, Calif.; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
