AMATA STERRETT DIES IN LOVELAND
Mrs. C.C. Sterrett, 89, of Loveland , a former resident of the Wiley and Lamar communities died Saturday afternoon at 3:15 at Loveland Memorial hospital after an illness of several months.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Claude Carver, Loveland , Mrs. Walter Carver, Denver , and Mrs. Roy Burkett, Denver, and two sons, Harlo of Kansas City, Missouri, and Selby, Lamar; 17 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, and a son, Robert. Mrs. Sterrett was a member of the Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held in Loveland at the Methodist Church , Tuesday morning at 10 with the Rev. Mr. Kenneth Smith officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Fairmount cemetery in Lamar with the Rev. Mr. M.E. Douglas officiating. Kirkpatrick-Duggan Mortuary is director.

Graveside services for Amata D. Sterrett were held at Fairmount cemetery at 10 a.m., June 11 with the Rev. Mr. M.E. Douglas officiating and Kirkpatrick-Duggan as director.
Mrs. Sterrett was born in Golden, Illinois , August 14, 1870 , and was married to Charles C. Sterrett, November 26, 1897 . They came to Colorado in 1902 and lived in Lamar and Wiley communities for 34 years, moving to Loveland in 1937.
Sterrett died in 1939. After her husband’s death, Mrs. Sterrett lived with her daughter, Mrs. C.F. Carver until she died June 7, 1958 in Loveland. A son, Robert, died in 1953.
She leaves five children, Jessie Carver, Loveland , Mrs. W.B. (Erma) Carver and Mrs. Roy (Cleta) Burkett, both of Denver; Harlo Sterrett of Kansas City, and Selby Sterrett, Lamar. There are 17 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
