The Swedish Genealogical Society of Colorado (SGSC) was organized in April of 2007. Since that day we have grown to over 80 members. This enthusiastic group meets monthly at the Denver Public Library at 14th and Broadway and welcomes interested family historians and new members.
Paul Ternlund
As genealogists we enjoy photos of yesteryear -- especially when they are photos of our own relatives. Often these photo prints have not had the best care over the years. But we are very grateful to have them in any condition! While the old saying “you can’t get blood from a stone” still stands, today’s digital photo editors can perform wonders to render aged, discolored, torn, and soiled digital images back to a healthier state. An image file (the modern day equivalent of a photo negative) will not deteriorate with time as their analog predecessors did. Image files can be printed any time in the future and often can be included in your family tree database
Paul will work with Adobe’s flagship software, Photoshop and demonstrate some of its restorative capabilities. Using old photos from fellow SGSC members, he will share “before” and “after” family photos. He will demonstrate various Photoshop tools to make these improvements
