22. Katharina⁴ Gillen (Nikolaus³ Gilen, Paul² Gielen, Quirin¹) was born in Krautscheid, Germany April 4, 1864. Katharina died August 31, 1941 in Eden Valley, Mn, at 77 years of age.

She married twice. She married Albert Pihale in St. Paul, Mn., July 10, 1888. Albert was born May 1863 in Horitz, Kramau, Budweis, Austrian Empire. Albert was the son of Johan Pihale and Theresia Matsche. Albert died August 5, 1894 in St.paul, Mn-621 Kent St, at 31 years of age. His body was interred August 7, 1894 in Calvary Cemetery. She married Joe Ruhland in Heidelberg, Mn., October 21, 1895. Joe was born December 8, 1853 in Kohler, Wi.. Joe died August 11, 1918 in Eden Valley, Mn., at 64 years of age.

Occupation: HOMEMAKER-FARMER. She was christened in Ringhuscheid, Ger-st.martin Cath Church, April 5, 1864.

Katharina Gillen and Albert Pihale had the following children:

73 i. Theresa⁵ Pihale was born in St. Paul, Mn. April 21, 1889. Theresa died September 16, 1907 in Eden Valley, Mn., at 18 years of age. She was christened in St.francis Desales Church, May 26, 1989.

74 ii. Catherine Pihale was born in St. Paul, Mn February 14, 1892. Catherine died July 21, 1892 in St. Paul, Mn, at less than one year of age. Her body was interred July 22, 1892 in St.paul, Mn-calvary Cemetery. She was christened in St.paul, Mn-st.agnes Cath Church, March 6, 1892.

Katharina Gillen and Joe Ruhland had the following children:

75 iii. George Ruhland was born in Heidelberg, Mn. August 6, 1896. George died 64 FEB- in Valley City, Nd.

+ 76 iv. Mike Ruhland was born May 1, 1899.

+ 77 v. Bernard Ruhland was born October 25, 1902.

+ 78 vi. Leander Ruhland was born February 25, 1904.
