He married Lucille Marie Lethert in St. Paul, Minnesota, August 20, 1960. Lucille was born June 14, 1935 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She is the daughter of Francis Anthony Lethert and Margaret C. Thomas.

Gerald Arthur Alfveby and Lucille Marie Lethert had the following children:

2 i. Jeanne Marie² Alfveby was born in St. Paul, Minnesota September 9, 1961. She married Gregory Charles Crea February 17, 1990. Gregory was born July 22, 1960.

4 iii. Thomas Joseph Alfveby was born in St. Paul, Minnesota July 27, 1966.

5 iv. Michael Francis Alfveby was born September 24, 1976.
