He married Gertrud Hencop about 1700. Gertrud was born about 1670 in Scheuerheck, Germany.

Jois Lethert and Gertrud Hencop had the following children:

+ 2 i. Anton² Lethert was born about 1700.

+ 3 ii. Wilhelm Lethert was born about 1705.

4 iii. Margarethe Lethert⁽¹⁴⁶⁾ was born in Holzem, Germany February 18, 1714. She married twice. She married Jakob Hilberath in Neichen, 1734. She married Johann Laubach in Scheuerheck, Germany, June 16, 1737. (See Johann Laubach for the continuation of this line.)
