He married twice. He married Julia Klinkhammer. Julia was born June 20, 1855. She was the daughter of Joseph Klinkhammer and Margaret Mahlberg. Julia died August 31, 1879 at 24 years of age. Julia died August 31, 1879 at 24 years of age. He married Katherine Theis about 1883/1884. Katherine was born about 1859 in Minnesota. She was the daughter of Nicholas Theis and Margaret.

Nicholas Meyer and Julia Klinkhammer had the following children:
