Pat Cotter	Edward MULLANEY, miller in Roscommon, Co. Roscommon, daughter - Bridget MULLANEY McGOVERN b. ca 1810,emigrated 1846.
Jim Mullany marjames@twrcom.com	My great-great grandfather was Patrick Mullan(e)y (1804-1886) of Cahir, County Tipperary who married Katherine O'Donnell (1815-1895) of Cahir, Co. Tipperary in Ireland (emigrating to Waterloo, Iowa U.S. through New Orleans before 1851; Patrick and Katherine are buried in Waterloo, Iowa) and had four known children: Mary (b.1847), Edmund (b. 1846), Katherine (b. ??), and Alice S. (b. 1851). All the children were born in Ireland except for Alice, who was born in Ottawa, Illinois. Mary married James H. Kerwin (b. 1842) and had several children; Katherine married Daniel J. Donovan (dates unknown); and Edmund married my great-grandmother Mary Ann O'Regan (b. 1853). I am interested in finding out where in Cahir Patrick and Katherine O'Donnell were from, their parents/siblings, when they were married, and any other information concerning them.

Bob Devereaux <rldead@worldnet.att.net>	I have Mary Mullany (Mullaney sp?) who married James Brady around 1840?  My trail is pretty sketchy but family stories indicate they were from Roscommon County and had a son, James P. Brady, on Nov. 2, 1841.

• I saw your entry on the Irish Genealogy Web site. I am researching my gr-gr grandmother Catherine MULLANEY who was born in Ireland (county unknown) ca. 1850. She emigrated to Pennsylvania ca. 1860, reportedly first to Pittsburgh then to Hazle Twp., Luzerne Co. She married Edward Burke (of Co. Roscommon) in 1864 and they had a number of children. She died in 1890. Her sister was Rose (Mullaney) Martin who lived in the same area and died ca. 1930. I am also researching Peter Mullaney, who lived in Pittsburgh during the late 1800s (died 1905), and who may have been Catherine and Rose's brother.Any connections or information?Thanks.

• I am doing genealogic research on the LAVINS of Roscommon County. The GRO records show that my Great grandfather married a Mary Mullaney of Cloonshanville, daughter of Michael Mullaney (farmer-deceased) in January 1876. Her age at the time was listed as 22 years.

• My grandfather was born in Co. Roscommon in 1892, Michael Mullaney. He was orphaned at the age of 2 or 3, and raised by his Aunt, who brought him to Liverpool, England. He had three brothers, who did not I believe travel to England with him, Patrick, Joseph and Bernard Mullaney.
