P.O. Box 278 Greeley, CO 80632 URL: http://rootsweb.com/~cowcgs The Family History Festival, A Celebration of Genealogy, History, Culture and Heritage was a huge success last year and is in the planning stages again for this year. It will be held September 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Centennial Park Branch Library, 2227 23rd Avenue, Greeley, CO. For more information or if you are interested in participating or helping in any way please contact Linda. New The Weld County Genealogical Society Projects web page contains links to the genealogical project databases currently being researched by our members. Our current project concerns the settlers of Dearfield Colorado; other projects included on the site are the genealogies of Mary Ellen (Jackson) Bailey and the Rhiner family. Also New The Weld County Genealogical Society is now publishing a monthly newsletter. The editor is Martha Van Driel and she does a fantastic job. Copies of the newsletter can be viewed at WCGS Newsletters or the link in the left column under Society. Our Weld County Master Index is found under "WCGS Online Databases" along with other databases. "Weld County Resources" lists links to other sites with history and records that pertain to Weld County. "Favorite Links" lists some of our favorite off-site web pages. The Weld County Genealogical Society, our Quarterly and our web pages work toward preserving Weld County history and records. The public is invited to all our membership meetings and programs. Now is the time to get started with your genealogy!
