This city index was published in the Weld County Genealogical Society Quarterly, Vol 27 No 1-4. 1930cen 1930 U.S. Federal Census - Weld County, Colorado Reel T626-251 has two volumes on it; Vol. 45 and Vol. 46. Volume 45 is Rio Grande, Summit, Teller and Washington Counties. Volume 46 has part of Weld County on it. The index includes the full name, the age of that person, and the reel, volume and page number where they can be found on the original census film. This reel includes the following enumeration district numbers: 62-1 to 62-38; 62-46 and 62-51; 62-61 and 62-63; 62-50 and 62-96. Reel T626-252 also has two volumes on it; Vol. 47 and Vol. 48. Volume 47 is the rest of Weld County, excluding the city of Greeley, and includes the following enumeration district numbers: 62-39 to 62-45; 62-47 to 62-50; 62-52 to 62-59; 62-60; 62-62; 62-64 to 62-95; and 62-97. Volume 48 is the city of Greeley and Yuma County. A lot of this census was illegible, either because it was so faint you couldn't see it at all or because of the census takers handwriting. BurialPermits Burial Permit Records obtained from Weld County Clerk and Recorders Office and now located in the genealogy department at Centennial Park Branch Library. There is a numerous amount of information on some of the various forms including birth dates, all cremation/entombed/removal/burial information and death dates and places, sometimes family members names and there are even some death certificates filed with them. They generally date from about 1915 through 2004. The WCMI includes the full name, date, and location of the burial. Cremation date and place is given when there is no burial information. If a cremation or removal is indicated the date refers to that event. If there is no other date found on the form, the death date is listed and that is indicated by d. prior to the date. The information on each index card consists of name, address, certificate number, title and location of court, country of birth or allegiance, when born, date and port of arrival, date of naturalization, and name and address of witnesses. There is also a petition number, beginning with P, on each card in the top right corner. The WCMI includes full name of witness, address (town) of witness-year of naturalization, name of person naturalized; P-number. The cards are arranged in alphabetical order by name of the naturalized person on the microfilm, with a few exceptions. GHIANNOULAKI, Eleni is in the Fs, in the Ks Mary KABOBEL, P-1592 through William Drummond KAY, P-352 is repeated twice, and some cards are out of order within a letter of the alphabet. A complete address for the witness is given in some cases and a complete date of naturalization but there is no further information on the witness. The date of the naturalization places the witness at his address on a given date. A + after the name indicates the name is repeated several times in the witness list and those entries may be viewed in the Naturalization Witnesses file. Naturalization Records from Weld County Court and Weld County District Court retained in the office of Clerk of the District Court, Greeley, CO. It indicates in a letter at the beginning of the records that after microfilming, the original records were then destroyed. They were microfilmed in March 1984. (Assuming they mean the index cards.)
