Benjamin Hamlinton Beebe lived in
Clinton, Ohio and Liverpool, Ohio. He left Ohio
shortly after 1845 to live in Connecticut. He was a
soldier in the Civil War having enlisted on 9/18/1861
and mustered 9/23/1861 and served in Co. K, 8th
Infantry under Captain McCall. He reenlisted Vet.
12/24/1863. He was wounded in the right arm on May 7th
1864 at Walthall Junction, Virginia. He transferred
to Company A, 7th Regiment December 31, 1864 and was
discharged on November 15, 1865. (Certificate 125383,
1883. Vol. 1)
In the List of Pensioners on the Roll Jan 1, 1883,
Vol. l published Baltimore Genealogical Publishing
Company in 1970 page 545 lists Hartford County. No.
of certificate 125383 Benjamin H. Beebe; P.O. address
- Southington; Cause for which pensioned - w. right
arm; $8.00 monthly rate.
