SMFSD Triennial Meeting
set for October 8-10, 2015 in Middletown

Mark your calendar now for the SMFSD Triennial Meeting scheduled for Thursday-through-Saturday, October 8-10, 2015. Once again the headquarters hotel will be the Marriott Residence Inn in Rocky Hill, Conn., convenient to Middletown and Hartford research excursions. Every three years SMFSD members from throughout the U.S. gather in Middletown for research, genealogy networking, social gatherings, guest speakers, ... and to walk in the footsteps of Middletown ancestors. Planning for this year's Triennial Meeting continues, and more details will be forthcoming here as they are available.

SMFSD will exhibit April 16, 2015 at the
New England Regional Genealogical Conference

SMFSD will exhibit at the New England Regional Genealogical Conference in Providence, R.I. at the event's "Society Fair" along with other genealogy and history organizations on Thursday, April 16, 2015. The conference is April 15-19 at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence. SMFSD members are welcome at the booth to help spread the word about our organization to the throng of interested attendees. See you in Providence!

11/20/2010 - At long last, added 31 new In-Depth Profiles of 1650-1700 early settlers of Middletown compiled by SMFSD member Paula Higgins. These detailed profiles have been formatted in the same free-standing PDF format as those your editor prepared for the first 23 Middletown families. In addition, 37 brief bio sketches have been added, prepared by your editor from information extracted from the In-Depth Profiles.
8/28/2011 - Updated the SMFSD Events and News pages, and added a photo montage of SMFSD's participation at the 2011 New England Regional Genealogical Conference in Springfield, Mass.
2/19/2012 - Updated the SMFSD Events and News pages with information about the 2012 Triennial Meeting, and added a montage of recently discovered photos of the 2003 Triennial Meeting. Two more issues of The Middler (2010) were added to the newsletter archive page.
6/28/2012 - Updated the SMFSD Events and News pages with information about the 2012 Triennial Meeting and a link to a downloadable and printable registration form.
3/26/2013 - Made minor corrections to several In-Depth Profiles.
5/11/2013 - Updated Events and News pages. Added a brief mention of SMSFD's participation at the 2013 New England Regional Genealogical Conference April 17-21 in Manchester, N.H.
11/30/2014 - Completed a thorough update of all pages, including library contact information and links. Added information to the Middler archive.

1/31/2015 - Added a photo montage of the 2013 NERGC to the Events page. Best of all, at long last, brought the Middler Archive completely up to date. The archive now includes PDF files of issues from Fall 2005 through Fall 2013.
