consistently earns top honors in NSDAR's Chapter Achievement Award and top
honors in DCDAR’s State Chapter Honors Award. Notably, the
Eleanor Wilson Chapter was ranked number one in the District of Columbia
for DCDAR’s
Chapter Honors in 2001 and 2006.
Throughout the years the Eleanor Wilson Chapter has acknowledged both those individuals in the community and in the chapter for their outstanding work. As a result, the chapter has sponsored DAR Medal of Honor, DAR Americanism Medal, DAR Community Service, and DAR American History Teacher winners along with DAR Scholarship applicants. |

| In 2006, the Eleanor Wilson Chapter was proud to sponsor the 115th Continental Congress' National winner of the DAR Americanism Medal, John C. Truong. The DAR Americanism Medal is awarded to naturalized United States citizens who have shown outstanding qualities of leadership, trustworthiness, service, and patriotism with an emphasis on the foreign-born community. | ||

| In 2006, the Eleanor Wilson Chapter was proud to sponsor the District of Columbia's State Winner and the third runner up in the National Society Daughters of American Revolution (NSDAR) Outstanding Teacher of American History Contest, Brian Hilton from St John's College High School. | ||
| As mentioned, the chapter is proud of its members' tireless efforts to serve both the community and our society. Many of our members have been awarded certificates of appreciation from both the State and National Society for their efforts. In addition, the chapter has been honored to have two State Outstanding Juniors, Jane Cyphers and Catharine Wray. | ||
