from the Chillicothe Municipal Airport, on the way to a
victory celebration in Kansas City, along with the pilot

George Washington Litton, "Uncle Wash' as he was known, had a
General Store. Sometime or another he and I. F. Minnick were
partners in the General Store. Later Minnick being succeeded by
Leander G Brookshier making the firm name Litton and Brookshier.
The 1st central telephone office was said to have been installed
around the turn of the century. There were various owners through
the years and one of them being Frank Litton. In 1906 the Minnick
School, north of town and the Lock Springs districts consolidated
which called for the new school building. School was held in the
hall over the Litton store until the new one was built. Mrs Rhoda
Richardson was the teacher for that term.

Mountain Echo newspaper, Laurel Co KY: Jun 27 1890, "A social
party was given to Doak Denham at the residence of his mother
on last Friday night. Thirty-six couples were present. The
evening was spent pleasantly. An ice cream supper was served in
the latest and most handsome style at 7:30." Dec 26 1890, "We
learn from Mt. Vernon that Frank Denham was struck by a passing
frieght, on Sunday night near the Sinks in that county and
instantly killed. He was intoxicated and went to sleep lying
across the track. His head was severed entirely from his body."
Sept 25 1896, "Mr. Doak Denham was in Cincinnati on business
last week." Nov 1896, "Mr. Doak Denham left last Tuesday night
for Indianapolis." Somerset Journal Sep 2 1921 (Pulaski Co KY),
"Miss Mary Denham has returned home after a visit with her
uncle, Doak Denham at Logansport, Ind."

before his death in 2002 for preservation online, along with his research
