About The USGenWeb Project
If you would like to contribute your data or create a county page within the DEGenWeb, or if you are interested in another state's page, please contact Gayle Triller, Delaware State Coordinator.
If you would like to contribute your data or volunteer to help in some other way, you can contact Shari Handley, Sussex County Coordinator. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED TO MAKE THIS SITE AS USEFUL AS POSSIBLE.
CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR INVOLVEMENT
- USGenWeb Tombstone Transcription Project - make listings of inscriptions on gravestones in Sussex County cemeteries. Please contact Krystal McGinnis, Delaware Tombstone Transcription Manager, to sign up for one or more cemeteries.
- Letters & Written Artifacts - Do you have old letters, diaries, newspaper articles, Bible records, or other written artifacts? If you'd like to share them, type them up as a plain text file (*.txt), and send them as an email message or file attachment, to Gayle Triller, the Delaware USGenWeb Archives Coordinator, or go to the easy Records Submission Forms site at http://www.genrecords.org/defiles/ and click on the type of record you are submitting and enter it there.
- Miscellaneous - Birth, death or marriage records, census transcriptions, deeds, wills, court records, family Bible records, etc., etc., etc. We're limited only by our imagination! If you have an idea for something that we could add to the Sussex site that would be of benefit to area researchers, please contact Shari Handley, Sussex County Coordinator. This kind of data is used on the Sussex site in conjunction with the USGenWeb Archives Project.
