I am looking for any information on Louis KIELBASA and Josephine KIELBASA, my great-grandparents who eventually ended up in Sussex County after immigrating from Poland around 1913. My grandfather Apollo KIELBASA married into the ADKINS family, also of Sussex County. Any information on immigration records for the ADKINS family would be appreciated also. I have no idea when they came over, and about as far back as I have gotten is my great great grandfather, James Henry ADKINS, who served in the 1st Delaware during the Civil War. Thanks for any help!

I am doing research into my family. On my father's side, I have Curtis Vaughn LONG and Letitia Bonsall, who were the children of Curtis Vaughn LONG, Sr. and Mary E. LONG. Mary's maiden name was possibly LYNCH or MCCABE. I don't know anything else about Mary. Curtis had at least one sister, Maud E., who married Everett Burke Stevens and had one son, Everett B., Jr. After Mary's death, Vaughn Sr. moved to Philly where he remarried. Vaughn Jr. lived with grandparents and/or the Stevens Family. Letitia passed away about 55 years ago. Most of the family is buried in the Red Men Cemetery in Selbyville. My maternal grandparents were Russell F. WILGUS and Carrie Mae EVANS WILGUS. Russell was the son of Robert and Valerie (Vallie) WILGUS of Roxana. He had one brother and 2 sisters, Robert, Evelyn, and Myrtha. Carrie was raised in Ocean View. Her mother's name was Mary, and Mary's brother's name was Ulyses (although he may have been half-brother). The following names have also appeared in various pictures and notes: James Evans, Molly West, several McCabes, Lynchs and Lekites. I have just started this project and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
After my last post, I discovered that my grandmother's name was Elizabeth Bird MCKENNEY LONG. My great grandmother's name was Virgie (Virginia?) Bunting LONG LYNCH. She was first married to a Henry Long then a Medford Lynch. Medford and Virgie had a daughter named Mary A. who married Wilbur LATHBURY. After Mary died, Wilbur married Iona Daisey. If you know any of these lines, please let me know. I have hit a really hard brick wall.
I am looking for information on this branch of the VIRDEN family: Mitchell VIRDEN and Ellen WARRINGTON (buried in Coldspring, DE), father of Joseph B. VIRDEN who married Elizabeth Frame RUST. They had 11 children, one of whom, Peter Rust VIRDEN, is my great grandfather. Peter had 2 children, Edward Willie and Estella Estella, who married Weldon WAPLES and had at least one child, Margaret. Edward Willie VIRDEN married Margaret HISER and had 2 children, my father James and Raymond. I have been to Coldspring and have photos of some of the gravestones but I do not have any information on who the mother of Edward Willie and Estella is. Thanks for your help.
My gggrandfather, I have deduced, came from the Frankford-Dagsboro area. He was born around 1795. His name was William Thomas MIDDLETON. As a small child, when I ask about him, I was always told he came out of the swamp. There is a swamp near these towns.
In Scharf's History of DE 1608-1888, p. 1239, there is reference to Carey's Station and Carey's Crossroads having existed in the 1870s and after. Scharf also wrote that McColley's Chapel (still existing) "is in the neighborhood of Carey's Crossroads." I do know that these were near now existing Redden on Rt. 113, about 4 miles from Georgetown. I am seeking specific information about where these 2 places were specifically located in respect to Redden. In the same area there are said to have been about 15 marked graves associated with Faith Methodist Church. I hope to locate this burying ground as well. Thanks for your consideration.
