FRAME, SIMONTON, SMITH posted by David Ross on Thursday, July 20, 2006

Theophilus SIMONTON II came to Lewes, probably in 1725, with his parents, Theophilus SIMONTON I and Mary (SMITH), sister of Archibald SMITH, merchant in Lewes. Theophilus II possibly married a FRAME, but I can find no evidence of this. Is there any help out there? Smith FRAME, b. 1730, probably in Sussex Co., is closely associated with the Simontons. His father, Robert FRAME, wed one Jane Ann SIMONTON who was, probably, a sister of Theophilus SIMONTON I. Smith FRAME, her son, was mentioned in the will of Theophilus SIMONTON I.

I am looking for information on NILEVILLE, DELAWARE. It was a crossroads in the 1920s west of the railroad tracks on what is presently Old Crow Road (Rt. 515) between Delmar and Bacon. I understand it was about 8 houses and two stores. I would like to know general information about Nileville and possible family names that lived there.

SMITH posted by Joni Rabena on Monday, February 19, 2007

I need suggestions to find the family of John and Amelia SMITH listed on the 1860 census in Baltimore Hundred, Sussex, Delaware. John and his son were lighthouse keepers on the 1860 census. I believe this John may have been the first lighthouse keeper on Fenwick Island. I believe my great grandfather, William SMITH and his sister Josephine were the grandchildren of John and Amelia and lived with them. William (b approx 1860) is my great grandfather. Any help in tracking this family after 1860 will be greatly appreciated.
