- Don_Blaheta Arthur BLAHETA (my grandfather) was born in Bottrop to Felix BLAHETA and Maria (RICHTER) BLAHETA, circa 1912. He was the youngest of ten; the others were Gottfried, Willie, Elsie, Agnes, Hugo, and four others whose names we don't know. Ultimately the Blahetas derive from Bohemia, so they had probably only been in Bottrop for a generation or two, if that long. see also web page

- Frederick_Boling I am researching my gggf Johann Friedrich BREUER (BROER)and my gggm Caroline GERLING. Johann was b. 7 Sept.1807 in Huellhorst, Germany, baptized 15 Sept. 1807 by Pastor Buete and confirmed 2nd Sunday after Easter in 1822 by Pastor Koens. At the age of 21, he began his service in the army for 3 Yrs and 2 months. He married Caroline Wilhelmine Frederike GERLING in Huelle-by-Minden on 7 Sept. 1837. They emigrated from Germany to the United States on 23 October 1845.
