1820-1897). The 5 siblings arrived US 1870's-1880's in Mowhawk Valley of
New York and Iowa. Looking for present day family members and further info
on ancestry of Dufel/Duefel and Wittemeier. Family was believed to be long
time farm family in Hille. |

b. Arr 11,1750 in Hollich, Steinfurt Germany. He married Christine Elizabeth
Meinkmann, Hollich. Their son Johann. Johann Leugering Trocke, Hollich,
b. 1834. Johann,s name changed to Trocke when he got married to wife Anna
Trocke. I guess it was custom to take the womans name if she had property.
It sure doesn't make traceing the roots when they change their name. They
may have live in the Alsa Lorraine area. and when the borders moved change
their tame to Le'Trocke when the French were in Control. |

had at least 5 children, with the last two being born in Dortmund Hoerde.

my gggf Johann Friedrich BREUER (BROER)and my gggm Caroline GERLING. Johann
was b. 7 Sept.1807 in Huellhorst, Germany, baptized 15 Sept. 1807 by Pastor
Buete and confirmed 2nd Sunday after Easter in 1822 by Pastor Koens. At
the age of 21, he began his service in the army for 3 Yrs and 2 months.
He married Caroline Wilhelmine Frederike GERLING in Huelle-by-Minden on
7 Sept. 1837. They emigrated from Germany to the United States on 23 October
1845. |
