My mother was born there and my grandfather carried on a banking
business there between 1890 and 1912. I visited there in 1993 and took
a photo of the bank building, which was 98% identical to one I have of
the bank in 1890. I also have my grandfather's memoirs, which describe
his life, friends and excursions from Aschersleben.
I have provided the two photos of the bank building, which seems to
have become a county health facility. It was located across from a park
at Herrenbreite 3 (9).
Note that the store across the street has the remnants of the 1893 sign
still present.
