About GHRS
German Historical Research Society, Inc., (GHRS) was founded in 2002 and was formalized as a legal non-profit organization in the United States in 2004. Volunteers from a worldwide genealogical community provide the services offered by GHRS. The collective experience and knowledge offered by the volunteers provides information for genealogists and researchers, as well as guidance and suggestions for continuing exploration.

Mission Statement
The German Historical Research Society, Inc., fosters and supports the transcription and translation of German historical documents, the extraction of historical information and assists interested researchers with the appropriate techniques, guidance and learning aids.
