With the exception of our sessions at the Tamworth Library, all meetings are held at the Function Room, Ladybridge Inn, Tamworth, Staffordshire (map) at 7:30 until 9:30 pm on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. Meetings cost £2.00 per household per evening. Free car parking is available on site.

12th February - Paulette Burkhill - Kynoch Lions.  Paulette makes a welcome return to talk about George Kynoch who, in 1862, founded the company that later became IMI.

23rd April - Tamworth library - Where we have exclusive use of the local studies section , including free internet access to Ancestry.com 6:30 to 9p.m.

14th May - Graham Sutherland - Wicked Women.
A look at some of the more notorious females in English criminal history. There is little doubt about some of them and their guilt, but that is not always the case. Were some of these women more sinned against than sinners?

11th June - Patrick Hayes - The Mary Ashford Mystery
. In 1817, Mary Ashford was found dead in the grounds of Pype Hayes Hall. She had been attacked and thrown into a marl pit to drown. A man is accused of her murder but found not guilty. Was he guilty or not?

- "Heroes in my family" Have you a hero in your family?  Delia has been researching her family history for many years - she tells us what she's found.

23rd July - Treasured Possessions. 
Bring along and talk about an object from your family history that has special significance to you.

12th November - Judith Farrington - My Granny's Box
   When Judith's aunt asked her to find out about the family history, she did nothing.  Many years later, she decided to start researching.  By then the family papers were held by another aunt who would not let her see them.  On her death, 'Granny's Box' was passed to Judith - and so the discoveries begin.
