Eversholt

EVERSHOLT, a parish in the hundred of MANSHEAD, county of BEDFORD, 2½ miles (E. by S.) from Woburn, containing 870 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Bedford, and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at 16.11.8., and in the patronage of the Marquis or Downshire. The church is dedicated to St. John the Baptist. There is a small sum for the education of children.
