The Stone Age (10,000-2000 B.C.)		Stone Age axes found in Granta Valley, at Kennett, Swaffham Bulbeck and on Cambridge-Girton road.
	Mesolithic period	Bone fish spear found at Royston.
	Neolithic period	Grinding slab for flint polishing found in Burwell. Mass mining for flints in Grime's Graves in the Brecklands. Burial mounds at Therfield Down. 'Henges' (causewayed camps and ceremonial meeting sites) discovered at Melbourn and Wilbraham.
