Period	Dates	Events
The Bronze Age (2000-600 B.C.)		Three timber causeways built at Ely. Round burial barrows found along the Icknield Way mainly Thriplow Heath, the Fleam Dyke, at Wilbraham, Snailwell and Chippenham.
	Middle Bronze Age (1500-1000 B.C.)	Pure gold torc found at Gruntry Fen.
	Late Bronze Age (1000-600 B.C.)	Shields found at Coveney and Chatteris.
