Brythonic Celts from northern Europe migrated into the county, an early site being at Linton. Other settlements at Abington Piggotts, Grantchester, Trumpington, Haslingfield, Barrington, Stuntney and Hauxton Mill. Iron spearhead found from warrior's burial at Soham. Jewelery in the form of bangles, bosses, rings and brooches found at Newnham Croft. Forts found in Wandlebury and the Cherry Hinton War Ditches (fortification evident about 3rd century B.C.).Native Brythonic Iceni built defences at Barrington, Arbury Camps, Willingham (Belsar's Hill) and Fowlmere. The Belgae overthrew Iceni at War Ditches. Tribal wars continued until the Roman invasion, the Iceni went north or east into East Anglia. Catuvellaunian chieftain buried at Snailwell about 30 A.D. Possible druidic worship at Guilden Morden.
