Thomas Judd 1715

The Manor of Adderbury In the County of Oxford

October 26th 1715

“I THOMAS JUDD of Adderbury aforesaid and Bridgett his wife customary tenants of the said Manor (the said Bridgett being first solely and secretly examined by the Steward of the said Manor) do surrender into the hands of the Lords of the said Manor by the hand of Edward ROBINSON one other customary tenants of the said Manor All those their two lands of arable ground with the appurtenances hereinafter particularly mentioned (that is to say) one land with a Hade at the Stonepitts shooting into Calvesham the ground of Thomas COX lying on the West part thereof and one land lying in the Outlands on the South side of short hedges the ground of John FLINT - lying on the East part thereof which said premises are lying and being within the said Manor and now in the possession of the said Thomas JUDD and Bridgett his said wife their assignee and assigns and the use and behoof of the said Thomas JUDD and Bridgett his said wife for and during their natural lives the life of the longer liver of them and from and after the decease of the said Thomas & Bridgett then to the use and behoof of Margaret WELFORD daughter of the said Thomas & Bridgett and of the heirs and assigns of the said Margaret for ever according to the custom of the said Manor. In Witness whereof the said Thomas Judd & Bridgett his said wife have hereunto sett their hands the day and year first above written”
