St. James the Great has an attractive west tower - similar to the one at Bitton but not so grand. The style is Perp with angle-buttresses, gargoyles, battlements with pinnacles, and a staircase-turret round which the string-course continues. The middle battlement each side has a niche - one, on the east side, containing a sculpured figure. The buttresses have crocketed pinnacles. The stair-turret is surmounted by a pyramid nd ball. The south doorway is Norman - as is the blocked up north doorway. The font is Perp, an octagonal bowl enriched with arcading, quatrefoils, and flowers, on an arcaded shaft. The pulpit is circa 1630 with a sounding board. The nave windows are 16th C or early 17th C.
