At St. Margaret of Antioch's Church in Alderton, the font is ancient
and is of an Early English Gothic style circa 1200.

The church consists of chancel, nave, south aisle, north and south porches, and west tower. It is mostly 14th C but was heavily restored in 1888-92 by Knight & Chatters. The embattled tower is in Perp style and has three stages.
Within the church there is a sturdy 14th C south arcade of three bays with octagonal piers with moulded capitals and double-chamfered arches. The chancel arch also has two chamfered orders. The stained glass east window is by Geoffrey Webb, 1928. The organ is by Joseph Monday of Bristol, circa 1850.
