St. John the Baptist's is by S.W. Daukes, 1865. The church is built of rock-faced stone with freestone dressings and comprises a nave, chancel, north aisle and a south porch with an octagonal bell-turret above, culminating in a short spire decorated with a band of ballflower. The windows display plate tracery. The church interior has a three-bay arcade without capitals. There is stained glass in the church by Cox & Son, 1866; Clayton & Bell, 1878 and 1905; and Edward Payne, 1969.
