Evenlode was in a detached segment of Worcestershire until 1931. St. Edward's Church consists of chancel, nave, south aisle, 19th Century south porch, and three-stage embattled tower of circa 1400. The oldest part is the Late Norman chancel arch with restored scalloped capitals and pointed arch with zigzag. The font is octagonal with the usual quatrefoils and fleurons. The stalls and pews are all by J. E. K.Cutts who restored the nave and aisle 1884-86. A traditional gypsy caravan was encamped on the verge on the way into the village of Evenlode. The owners' little dog was enjoying the Summer sunshine.
