St. Mary's was rebuilt in 1856 by Sir George Gilbert Scott, of red grit and grey Forest stone dressings. It comprises an early Dec chancel, three-bay nave, north aisle, south porch, and a tower at the west end of the north aisle. The interior of the church is decorated with carved hood-mould stops and corbels. There are encaustic iles on the floor. The font is very elaborate and is of Painswick stone with marble columns on octagonal steps.
