St. Cyr's was rebuilt 1854-55 for Rev. Sir George Prevost by J. L. Pearson, apart from the north porch and tall west tower. The latter, of three stages with diagonal buttresses, has an open parapet with crocketed pinnacles, and a spire restored in 1884 by Waller after being damaged by lightning. It has a canopied niche in the second stage on the north that contains a small statue of St. Cyr. There is a south-east stair-vice. The tracery of the bell - openings bears the date 1632. The Late Perp porch is two-storeyed, with a parapet with quatrefoils with central flowers and pinnacles. Pearson's church consists of chancel, nave and south aisle with east vestry. The four-bay south arcade has quatrefoil piers and double-chamfered arches. The taller chancel arch is of a similar profile. The church has high arch-braced roofs. The chancel and sanctuary have six steps, encaustic Minton tiles, and a carved and gilded reredos depicting The Last Supper. The chancel was extended slightly to the west in 1934 by Stratton Davis, Yates & Dolman. The font is a plain octagonal bowl. There is stained glass in the church by Wailes, 1855 and 1858, and Clayton & Bell, 1860s to 1890s. The churchyard has gateposts by Pearson, and there are several good 18th Century chest tombs.
