Colin Hollow

I am a recently retired school principal & am spending some of my new found spare time to pursue my family history. My HOLLOW family came from Redruth, Cornwall to Australia lured by the gold rushes of the 1850s.

I have registered the HOLLOW name as a one name study with the Guild of One Name Studies (3056). The name seems to have originated in Cornwall. I am interested in contacting others who have HOLLOW ancestry. I am also very keen to learn more of Cornwall's history & traditions. My hobby has led me to join The Australian Institute of Genealogical Studies (8232), The Cornish Association of Victoria (873) & The Cornwall Family History Association (9712).

My wife Joy & I live in Melbourne & have two children, who have grown up & left home. We enjoy travelling, walking, people watching & making the most of life. I am a collector & have collected stamps, coins & books (Spike Milligan, Ned Kelly, Norman Lindsay, Alan Marshall among others).
