Dianne Black

Henry PEARCE circa 1865

My name is Dianne Black. I live in Perth, Western Australia. I am happily married with two grown up sons.

My Father's ancestors came from Uny Lelant in Cornwall.
You are welcome to visit my Genealogy web page at http://www.webace.com.au/~tblack follow the Pearce link. I would be happy to hear from anyone who thinks they have a connection.

The photo is of Henry PEARCE who came out with his wife Ann (nee GREGORY) on the ship Commodore Perry in 1860. They had two children with them - James and Elizabeth. They settled in the gold mining town of Ballarat in Victoria. Later the children of James PEARCE were to travel across the continent and settle on a farm called Lucieville in Bridgetown, Western Australia. It is an exciting story of a family who remained close through what must have been an interesting and sometimes difficult era on the goldfields. We are planning a PEARCE family reunion at Lucieville in Nov this year. Please contact me by e-mail if interested in attending.
