I was born in South Africa in
November of 1970. I am married to Marc, who was also born
in South Africa, no that's not Marc in the photo, that's
Tigger our dog. We used to live in Sandton, near
Johannesburg in South Africa. But as of the 1st February
2001, Marc and I moved over to Sligo in the Republic of
Ireland. Marc is a programmer for the North Western
Health Board. We are enjoying living in Ireland very
much. It is very different from what we are used to, but
we really like it a lot. The scenery is beautiful, the
people are very nice and it is so easy to get over to
Northern Ireland and UK. Sligo has the best of both
worlds, we have mountains and the sea which is really
great. I work with by dad, & have for the past 7 years. We have a company called Consultants for Institutes & Societies, & we do the administration for the SA Society for Professional Engineers, amongst other Institutes, Societies & Associations. I am the eldest of 3, sister Tracey, & brother Gregory. My parents are Michael & Margaret Hosking, (click here for family photo) they too are interested in tracing our family, and have been doing so for some time now. My other interests include web page designing, computer graphics, reading, hiking, gardening, painting, drawing, horse riding & swimming. I have done a bit of web page designing in the past and am doing quite a bit now that we are living in Ireland. I think the web is a wonderful way to communicate & enjoy it immensely, especially now that we live in another country. We don't feel so isolated and the web makes you realise that the world is really quite small after all. My father's side of the family is Cornish & my mother's side is Scottish. We always visit Cornwall (going home) when in the UK. We are very family oriented & I look forward to meeting with more family members over the net. |
