
GIDDING
(LITTLE), a parish in the hundred of LEIGHTONSTONE, county of HUNTINGDON,
5¾ miles (S.W. by S.) from Stilton, containing 64 inhabitants. The living
is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Huntingdon, and diocese of
Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £7.6.4, endowed with £200 royal bounty,
and in the patronage of the Crown. The church is dedicated to St. John.
